Keeper of the great secrets

There is an architectural symbol that abounds in the ancient buildings of the city of La Plata, but went unnoticed for many who do not pay attention to these details: This symbol is the lion .

For color and radial distribution of hair is an animal associated with the sun. In many cultures the lion is equivalent to the dragon as repelling evil spirits and a picture of him stood guarding the entrance of temples or tombs. The lion was also the emblem of the hermetic art, and in this sense is taken up by the Masons. Its multiple

meanings are to be present in buildings such as Government House, where the lion heads into the Golden Hall to symbolize the provincial government, the same happens in front of City Hall Plaza Moreno.

But there is also controversy Gualberto vision Reynal, which states that acroteria of lions in the Mortgage Bank of 7 and 49 have "some degree of aggressiveness ." When searching for meaning, said to have consulted the book World History of Secret Societies, where he says that the image of a lion with a ring in the mouth corresponds to " guardian who jealously guards the great secrets "This definition puts in doubt of what secrets hide the building by having acroteria lions. Also in an interview that was published by Reynal newspaper El Día, is mentioned that "the Christian this animal is a bad sign, because in the Roman Empire, the religious community members served as food for cats . "

Where Does Lala Get Her Hair From

Marshal who lived in Berisso

Walter, known as "Russian " was an enigmatic man. He worked as a mechanic repairing machines in the Swift meatpacking of Berisso during a day that stretched from 8 am to 8 pm, but nobody really knew who this mysterious man. Thus arose a myth in which many claimed that it was the Marshal Tito who had fled the Yugoslavs who were chasing him for being a communist, who later return to his homeland to be the Head of State of Yugoslavia .

Marshal Tito (the real n ombre was "Josip Broz ") was born in Austria-Hungary in 1892. He fought in World War , was taken prisoner and taken to Russia. Lu ego to get away, part of the Russian Civil War and return to Yugoslavia, where it involves with Yugoslav Communist Party, which is why he was arrested by police in April 1928 as the Communist Party was banned. After a trial in which he was sentenced to 5 years in prison, was taken to jail Lepoglava. Thanks to his skills allowed him to leave custody to repair electrical systems in the houses of the village, and so it was like to be working in a bar with several friends managed to em drunk on duty to guard and escaped to the border. It is said that on false passports could embark on the ship Princess Mary, which sailed from Genoa to the port of Buenos Aires. After month voyage landed in Argentina and later became Berisso on 20 October 1930. After getting

work in the cold, settled in the guesthouse " Turk, on New York street. Always went to eat at the restaurant " Eagle," and hung out at the bar Raw are chatting with Vania Kalinoff, a Russian man who had participated in the beginnings of the Russian communist revolution.

that is despite being surrounded by fans Gymnastics , he became a supporter of Students as the shield and club shirt platense were very similar to those of your loved Crvena Zvezda Belgrade . Even some of his countrymen who still live in Berinsfield, report that during the tour many ndial Student in 1968, Marshal Tito personally received all the equipment in the Yugoslav capital . The alleged infiltration

of Titus in the refrigerator, it would be to expand between workers Marxist ideology. He considered it a "dangerous element " for trying to organize the workers to demand fair wages and better working conditions, was fired. Later would be jailed after the application of the Act of Settlement, which indicates that it could deport "any alien whose conduct compromise national security or disturb public order ." Eventually deported him back to Yugoslavia in 1931 where he became the conductor of the Communist Party.

There were several investigations to see if this myth was true, but could never find information
serve to clarify this story. Lobato historian found no one by that name among the Swift meatpacking chips, but could have used a false identity. Guadalupe Rivero also said that "There are registered Josip Broz two who entered Argentina. The paradox is that in European villages all have the same surname, so that anyone could be called like Tito. Moreover, taking into account the huge number of identities of the Marshal (eight at least) would be very surprising if she entered the country under his real name. And the documentation that should be in the National Directorate of Immigration is not . "

Until then the myth of Marshal Tito continue living in Berisso be among the local people, many of whom are immigrants who say they have known. Even in what was the Sportsman Bar, artist Vito's Cristian painted a mural which is behind all of Tito sitting at the bar.

The funeral tram route

Silver is known to have had the first electric tram in the country, for just a few months there was also the first American South. But one of the peculiarities that took the tram from the city is that before this, he offered to work as a hearse.

The pioneers in this service were the Tramways Company of La Plata, who opened the June 13, 1900 a tour that was on track for diagonal 74 towards the cemetery.

Disappearances in La Plata

was not an easy task to take the route of the city from the flat where it was designed to land on which was built in La Plata. There were some things that did not go as I had thought the engineer Benoit, and here mention a couple of them:

Many have noticed by looking at the map of the city, several places have the same shape and size, eg Italy with Plaza Plaza Rocha, Plaza and Plaza Azucena Yrigoyen, or Alsina with Plaza Plaza also Matheu. But there is a place that largely disappeared, and that is the Plaza Belgrano .

not originally going to be a square but a park of the same size as the Parque Saavedra, but 6 of the 8 blocks were loteadas and sold. Reynal Gualberto relates this fact with a "war" between La Plata and the people of Toulouse, but the reality is that this park was divided and sold at not being able to expropriate such land, on which advanced the development, breaking the symmetry of the path.

Another change suffered by the square platense is seen in parks and Castelli Alberti (located respectively at the intersection of 38 and 25, and 66 and 25). As can be seen at the founding of the city, each of these parks would be surrounded by 8 diagonal each, which would give them a star shape. L diagonal mysteriously as 85 to 92 and 97 to 104 disappeared and these two parks are now square.

A New Symbol: The pelican

In this blog entry return to the issue of the symbols associated with Freemasonry found on buildings in the city, in this case is the pelican .

One of these birds is on the altar Church of San José at 6 and 64 (which I mentioned above that is the symbol of the "eye of providence ).

This bird is hurting himself with his beak and feeding their young with blood, and in the Middle Ages it was believed that this was so, after which he took command as the Christian idea of the Eucharist. Christ, as the pelican opened his side to save Food Co No blood. That's why the pelican appears in Christian art in tabernacles, altars, columns, etc..

But now explain and l Masonic meaning of the bird. To the Rosicrucians and Freemasonry in the eighteenth degree of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, the fact that he injures himself in order to feed their young is an emblem of the law of sacrifice to be observed in the behavior for the better of humanity. Aryan Marco explains: " symbolizes love and charity, to give up the blood, is an expression that has to do with the final state of love, devotion so sublime that it is giving to the end of one, but love . This is a Masonic symbol of an actual Christian, XVIII degree. "

The other of the pelicans as can be seen in the Palace Campodónico on diagonal 79 between 55 and 56. Located in front of the building in front of a scallop, and unlike the Church which is in San Jose, does not have chicks. Perhaps those who made this building (built in 1892) and their owners belonged to the Masons, including Idalecio Coquel, Juana Campodónico Zapettini and Lazarus.

Before The Period Coughing Up Blood

The Sisters of La Plata

In an early blog entries was told how the plane layout of the city, studying the plans of 64 cities in the world that are detailed in the book "Universal Atlas of World Geography", acquired by Dardo Rocha. And so great was the impact it had this unique city, that there are two cities in Argentina "sister" of La Plata, the plans were based on the capital designed by engineer Peter Benoit .

The first is the town of Mariano Benitez, a town of nearly 200 people located in Pergamino party north of the province of Buenos Aires. It was founded on September 8, 1908 (26 years after La Plata) against a railroad station that c omunicaba Pergamino Rosario. The author the track is Reynaldo Standke engineer, who was an admirer of Benoit and also belonged to the Masons, since he was drafted into the Fraternity Lodge No. 53 in the city of Pergamino. As in La Plata, the route of this people has a central plaza, to which come four diagonal blocks in their way are triangular and trapezoidal shape. This people grew to 1200 inhabitants in the late 1910's, but the station closed l rail this number dropped dramatically.

The other location i Nspire in the city of La Plata is called "New Silver " and is located about 16km from the city of Pehuajó , west of the province of Buenos Aires. The connection between this town and La Plata is a curious history: It was founded on December 1, 1888 (six years after La Plata) by Rafael Hernández In honor of his brother José Hernández (author of Martín Fierro , and the name of the capital of the province of Buenos Aires), who had died two years earlier. This village of 300 inhabitants, like their apples Mariano Benitez has two diagonals crossed by changing its name to pass through the central plaza.

Inacayal The ghost was not the only

Roque Diaz, the man who has these historic
ias, said that upon arrival at the museum every time the doors were locked alone or strange noises were heard, it was said that it was by Gabino "Often I was employed in laboratories with a long history in the museum, which also had worked their parents and grandparents, and heard someone knock on the door. We looked and there was none. Then everybody said, "Come Gabino." And if people opened their doors and selling nas by wind or do not know why strange reason, more than one commented: Today Gabino goes with everything. "

Roque spent much time wondering who was Gabino, and po r it began an investigation that led him to read the travel journals of Perito Moreno in Patagonia. In these texts he learns that in 1878 the chief was taken prisoner Moreno Sayhueque several days and was taken prisoner by the Mapuche, until one of the indigenous deception of others and helped him escape, his name was Gabino. Gabino knew

As speak Castilian, became Moreno collaborating to establish contact with the various Indian tribes. It is also believed that Gabino was one of many Aborigines who came to live at the Museum of Natural Sciences of La Plata and Moreno could serve to translate what they said the aboriginal tions to scientists visiting the museum, though not could be checked. Gabino mysteriously disappeared and no one knows what happened to his body, since it was never found . Some believe that Gabino never lived in the museum, while others argue that the skeleton is one of many that were saved without a name in the underground.

was for this that started the legend
Gabino ghost at the museum, which later would be confused with the ghost of Inacayal, not knowing if the ghost was one or not. Roque Diaz said: " People from generation to generation, attributed the strange things that happen to Gabino. I think it was a secretive person. Who went quietly. Therefore it is said to open doors and windows. I do not think he's dead here as other natives of the that there is evidence that lived here. "

However, the techno
ico Héctor Díaz believes that the strange events are due to the architecture of the forest: " In these buildings, especially at the bottom, there is a microclimate that makes nothing is out of wind, but in itself is a movement of air, which is the temperature difference. Incidentally, when speaking of ghosts, said he feels an air behind the neck that causes to blush. And that's what happens in the museum . "

To add more mystery to the history of Gabino, 24 October 2007 some laborers working in an old tank museum unidentified skeleton found behind a wall in a completely inaccessible. Some believe it could be a collector's item, possibly the body never Gabino found, while others say it is a piece of the museum's collection since it has no catalog number.

What Straightener Does Dahvie Vanity Have

A Ghost in the museum

In the last blog entry I told the story of indigenous were locked in the Science Museum Natural and died there in late nineteenth century, prominent among them the figure of the cacique Inacayal.

After dying
for unknown reasons, the skeletons to the chief was emaciated and put on display for about 50 years. From that time began to occur c bears strange The museum, which are attributed to the lost soul of Inacayal following wandering around the building where he spent his last days trapped.

is talk of a sting in the back , drawers clutter alone, and even some nights hear the ghost whispering Inacayal and reneging on her tongue. " often happens that we're going from laboratory to laboratory with peers and hear someone knocking on the door. We're going to fix and there is never anyone "said Roque Diaz, a 76 years working as an assistant at the museum from 12.

Al cabo de unas hours appeared in the doorway a man who came to tell me that these people had called him because they had been locked in a laboratory . " What happened that night was that the door was jammed shut so hard that the knob, but no one explained how it happened.

Why Is My Face So Asymmetrical

Prisoners in the Museo de La Plata

" Inacayal watch the child closely. Go all day drunk and lost ... like a ghost . " These fu eron orders gave him Francisco "Perito" Moreno (director of the Museum of Natural Sciences La Plata ) to one of his assistants in 1888. Inacayal was one of the Patagonian Indians captured in the Conquest of the Desert, who had been sent to live in the basement of the Museum of La Plata, and Moreno's words seemed to be predicting the future ...

Modesto Inacayal born in 1833 within the tribe tehuelche of "Gününa Kene" who live on nineteenth century northern province of Chubut , on the banks of Limay River. He was a chieftain of the second order, subject to Sayhueque (the " Lord of the Land of Apples ). He had two wives and was the m 'm about 900 men. Ex plorer Chilean Guillermo Cox describes it this way: "I liked the Inacayal time, the gesture is frank and open, intelligent face sa Be some Castilian, but rather chubby body provided. " Could not write but could speak a little English and always received peacefully explorers who reached the area, who entertained with apples and gave them their best animals for dinner.

In 1879 he met and helped a young Perito Moreno, who was in the midst of an expedition to the Lake Nahuel the Huapi. The scout was surprised by the friendliness of the ad Aboriginal and l white man, and told in their chronic " the chief flying the national flag in front of his tent and how Ultrac his firstborn, and other Aboriginal , carried the flag ar tina on their spears. "

for those already years had begun " Conquest of the Desert", and by 1881 the general Julio A. Rock em struck a military campaign against the natives south of Black River. Inacayal resists with other ca IBC ues, but he was preparing to negotiate a truce with the Argentines, s tolderías us are attacked and taken prisoner on October 18, 1884 with his family and others of their trib or, in Junín de los Andes .

The military took their horses and distributed
eron their children among the families of the generals, for use as sirvientes. Me tomaron prisionero ”.

Sayhueque y Foyel were released and allowed to return to their land for as Argentines claimed. Inacayal se ne go to give up their identity, so he remained in captivity. The Perito Moreno

the "rescued" in October 1886 by way of thanks for the help they had given him the chief during his expedition to Patagonia, and then Inacayal was moved with others to borígenes ( including were his wife and a daughter) to Museum of Natural Sciences of La Plata, which remained for the rest of his days .

In total there were 12 Aborigines living in the forest museum, as if part of the living collection of o. Moren During the day they were allowed to navigate the corridors of forest platense building, which was still under construction. But at night were locked with a padlock on a abitación h subsoil. They need to eat a pot of soup for all, and not er pod had to leave their needs in a corner. Women were in charge of the li mpieza museum, washing clothes of staff and the production of machines for sale, men had tasks such as digging wells, r clean the sewage and work on the construction of the building that just ended in 1889.

As part of the "collection" of the museum, naked aborigines were examined by scientists who attended see s. They were also photographed or were forced to stay still for hours in front of a painter of portraits.

On September 21, 1887 dies at age 30 Ma
rgarita , The daughter of Chief Foyel. A few weeks later (2 October) Inacayal woman dies , and also dies eight days Tafa, most of gr upo. This spate of deaths brought bad name Perito Moreno. The Daily Echo Córdoba accused him of "Dark Knight " while L'Italiano de Buenos Aires worker questioned not respect municipal regulations for the treatment of the dead . In 2006, new research is conducted, after which Fernando Pepe believes that may have been poisoned, after analyzing the death masks that keeps the museum: " are impressive, have features of pain and suffering, clenched teeth."

Herm anthropologist an Inacayal Ten Kate described in the Journal of Museum (published in 1904): " was reserved, suspicious, proud and unforgiving. Communication only when drunk. He slept most of the day, discussed easily, very apathetic and without any concern for him . " After the deaths of Aboriginal Inacayal was sad and almost no dor mine. He spent hours looking at the remains of his wife who had been placed on display in a showcase of the museum, along with other skeletons. By the spring of 1888, the chief could tehuelche spend hours and hours looking at nothing. Walking and ncorvado, shuffling, also talking to himself, and he dropped the pants so thin he was.

died September 24, 1888, for reasons not entirely clear, however, were prepared following theories about his death:
  • He committed suicide by the torment that caused him being away from their land and imprisoned in the museum where I had to see exposed in the windows of remains of their loved ones.
  • They pushed down the stairs to the museum when he stripped in public in one of their rituals. This is based anthropologist Ten Kate, who noted that the skeleton had the bones of the nose broken by a fall or blow , and it was missing several teeth.
  • Finally the above theory, which says that Inacayal knowing he was dying, made a ritual after which vanished. So let it settled the Italian naturalist Onelli Clemente, secretary of Moreno: "I hardly moved from his old chair. And one day when the setting sun tinted purple propyleum of that majestic building crimp ent re the dark eucalyptus ... supported by two Indians, appeared Inacayal up there on the monumental staircase, tore off his clothes, the invader of his country, made a gesture to the sun, another marathon to the south, spoke pal open unknown and in the twilight, the shadow of that old Lord burdened land quickly faded as the evocation of a world . "
The skeleton of the chieftain was emaciated and was prepared to expose in the museum where he had lived his last years. It remained on public view for over 50 years until the 1940's.

After years of complaints from Aboriginal groups since the early 1980, the remains of Chief Modesto Inacayal were returned to the city of Tecka , Chubut, on April 19, 1994 il (Day of the American Indian). There he built a mausoleum with the entrance facing what were their mountains. He had to wait over 100 years to return to their land and have a funeral as tradition tehuelche, where the dead are buried as if they were in the womb, surrounded by weapons, food and various objects that may need to be reborn elsewhere.

Inacayal 's case that museums served to continue returning the remains of Aboriginal communities, as stated in the Law No. 25,517 (enacted in 2001): "I l Aboriginal remains , whatever their ethnicity, which are part of museums and / or public or private collections, will be made available to indigenous and / or communities of belonging that claim. "

But the story is not over. In July 2006 , some anthropology students who were examining the remains of Aboriginal museum to identify and return to their lands, are part of the scalp, brain, ear and heart dissection presumably ado Inacayal . These remains were also made available to be returned to Chubut, where the great chief hopes rest in peace after his final at the Museo de La Plata.

And do not forget to read about the strange events at the museum that occurred some time later. Already got that story here.

The owl hidden in the Palacio Municipal

already relatively recently a myth about the City Hall which had about the meaning of their orientation at the level of the city, now I will tell another that also relates to certain Masonic symbolism.

This myth states that
watching the tower of City Hall side, you can see in it the hidden figure of an owl . Of when night is best seen with CAD to watch as one of the eyes in his head made up the top of the tower, ears, beak and claws even be the top of the arches.

In the classical tradition in this animal is associated with the goddess Athena (or Minerva to the Romans), therefore symbolize intelligence. This animal also corresponds to Athena by her look lively and penetrating, like the look of small owls, which houses the Acropolis at night (in our case custodiaría Plaza Moreno from the top of the tower).

Time Masons then recreated the owl as a symbol of wisdom, and being nocturnal it is related to Masonic work that start at midnight. It is also worth mentioning that there is an owl hidden in $ 1 bill, which as I mentioned before, is full of Masonic symbolism.

Finding a "tunnel" under Cemetery

In early September 2010 while they were building the mausoleum of the Missing at the cemetery, the authorities of the Municipality of La Plata found under the building an underground necropolis which existence was unknown.

Given the possibilities
d concerned altar of a tunnel or some sort of underground passage, the director of the cemetery was reported with the NGO "People Warp." The architect Gustavo Petro could enter that l ugar running below the central nave, and at first glance confirmed that it could be a type of construction similar to that recovered under the square Falkland Islands, or which exist below the Normal No. 1 and City Hall . The researchers also said that the passage goes to the Cathedral sense.

By continuing to research this place, Petra that " could discover a domed structure over 300 meters from the street that runs 73 to 76 below what would be the founding of the cemetery wall on Calle 31 . " The investigation had to be interrupted as several sections of the journey can not continue for different interventions edilicias. Other findings that were made there, was that of human bone that underpass. They were stacked in garbage bags, some of which were labeled. Given this, the Secretary of Human Rights of the Municipality attended the scene. " not know what these remains date back years and have decided they do not touch until the courts tell us how to proceed and if we can determine if the discovery is related to dictatorship. " The other hypothesis is that being handled by the lack of space in the historic ossuary, has used this passage as a repository for the remains.
