There were some things that did not go as I had thought the engineer Benoit, and here mention a couple of them: Many have noticed by looking at the map of the city, several places have the same shape and size, eg Italy with Plaza Plaza Rocha, Plaza and Plaza Azucena Yrigoyen, or Alsina with Plaza Plaza also Matheu. But there is a place that largely disappeared, and that is the Plaza Belgrano .
not originally going to be a square but a park of the same size as the Parque Saavedra, but 6 of the 8 blocks were loteadas and sold. Reynal Gualberto relates this fact with a "war" between La Plata and the people of Toulouse, but the reality is that this park was divided and sold at not being able to expropriate such land, on which advanced the development, breaking the symmetry of the path. Another change suffered by the square platense is seen in parks and Castelli Alberti (located respectively at the intersection of 38 and 25, and 66 and 25). As can be seen at the founding of the city, each of these parks would be surrounded by 8 diagonal each, which would give them a star shape. L diagonal mysteriously as 85 to 92 and 97 to 104 disappeared and these two parks are now square.
